Reverse osmosis membrane 285 - 380 litres/day

TFC polyamide reverse osmosis membranes contain a thin, dense film layer (usually of polysulfone) on a porous carrier layer which is spirally wound around the core. The film layer consists of a crosslinked aromatic polyamide produced by surface polymerization of a polyfunctional amine such as m-phenylenediamine with a polyfunctional acid chloride such as Trimesoyl chloride.

Thus, the TFC production process enables the independent optimization of the properties of the carrier and salt retention layers. Characteristic for TFC reverse osmosis membranes is therefore the high specific water flow and the high salt retention.
