Full Iron Fertilizers for the aquarium

The term Full Iron Fertilizer describes first of all a complete fertilizer for the aquarium. This means that it contains all the micronutrients essential for plant growth as well as potassium and magnesium. Iron of course is the most important micronutrient. Iron is hence also used as an indicator of the overall micro-nutrient supply of the aquarium.

The macronutrients nitrate and phosphate are usually not contained in these aquarium fertilizers. In most fish tanks, these substances are supplied in sufficient quantities via the feed, a further supply by the fertilizer would therefore be problematic. Should the addition become necessary in exceptional cases, special macronutrient fertilizers are available.
