Long Term Fertilizer / Special Fertilizer - Automatical Daily Fertilizing
For intensively cultivated plant tanks (strong light tanks and very densely planted tanks).
According to the size of the aquarium the fertilizer reserve consists of a hand-full of material, ready for application and packaged in a plastic mesh-bag. The material system (Aquafim®) itself is non soluble and does not give-up any undesired substances into the water. Once in usage, day after day a measured amount of fertilizer is released. Through this constant steady release there is no so-called “increased step of concentration”, what has a positive effect on both plants and animals - and all that without having to purchase an expensive and sensitive electro-mechanical dosage pump.
Release Time: 2 Months
Suitable for an 500 l pool with denser than average planting or stronger lighting (up to 0.4 W/l).
If the lighting is stronger, it may be necessary to use the next package size up of KramerDrak Power.
For larger pools, simply use more than one plastic mesh-bag.
Place in the filter or another location with good water through-put.
Before the first usage flush through well using fresh water.
The application can be stopped at any time by simply removing the plastic mesh-bag from the water (but please be careful because the fertilizer solution contains heavy metal components, like iron and manganese that can cause difficult to remove marks and so please use an insensitive underlay).
The release of nutrients corresponds to the recommended dose of KramerDrak special fertilizer in a pool of the same size.
When changing the water, it is a good idea to fertilize the fresh water with half the recommended dose of KramerDrak. This will compensate for the nutrients removed with the water change.
Using KramerDrak Power is an easy and reliable way of avoiding competition between difficult and sensitive aquatic plants. Because the nutrients are almost continuously available, no plant is any longer in a position to “snatch away” nutrients to another's disadvantage, i.e. consume them faster than its rivals.
