Special Construction

It is possible to produce these special models according to your individual wishes. These brown clay pipes with a diameter of 11 cm and a length of 35 cm (whereby here the maximum size is already almost reached), have been produced according to the wishes of Tilo H. from Kreischa for his great Catfish. Thereafter follow also 2 pictures, where one can see, how the Catfish has happily settled into his new home:

Requirement: Size about 80 mm, internal diameter about 20 mm, with walls that are as thin as possible with open ends. A banana form would be advantageous. These pipes were produced for Tanganyika perch Neolamprologus kungweensis. These are mud cave breeders - suited for a holed limestone together with a suitable sandy built pool which can be almost perfectly adapted together with light clay coloured pipes:

• All caves are handmade.
• They were tested over and again in cooperation with breeders of Loricariides and Dwarf Cichlids and therefore they were well tuned for the necessity of the different species.
• After air drying for several days the edges of the caves were cut and then bisque fired at approx. 1000 degree.
• Finally they were checked for sharp edges.
• All specified sizes are with minor deviation because clay can change variously within drying and firing.
