Granulated Black Peat

For water softening with long-term effect

The contained humic acid is gently released into the water and the pH-value is lowered. Works as prophylaxis against algae und mould growth.

Ingredients: Pure unpolluted North German Black Peat, manufactured in Germany (1 l ~ 400 - 450 g).

 

Effectiveness

Releases humic-acids and in doing reduces the carbonate hardness and the ph-value.
Acts as a weak acid ion exchanger, takes in calcium- and magnesium-ions - and sinks in this way the complete hardness and the pH-value.

Humic-acids effectively lowers the pH-value, acts against bacteria and fungi.

Dosage

1 l Granulated Black Peat will suffice for approx. 800 - 1,000 l water depending on pH value and carbonate hardness of the origin water.
The Granulated Black Peat should be exchanged every 8 to 12 weeks. After use you may compost the peat or dispose it in the biological waste.

 

Tip: A net stocking filled with peat, placed in the rainwater barrel, is quite reliable in preventing the growth of tiresome midges!
