The powder mixture must first be dissolved in the defined amount of water (simply pour the powder into warm water and shake occasionally. After about one hour the solution can be used). The solution form is, in comparison, available for immediate use.
Dosage1 ml allowance for 50 l aquarium water raises the phosphate content about 0.1 mg/l (The potassium content is minimally increased by 0.04 mg/l, simultaneously through the use of the salt.) The desired value lies in the range 0.1 - 0.2 mg/l phosphate. More than that is seldom necessary and usually only promotes algae growth unnecessarily. Phosphate can be also well applied as batch fertilizer. Dose to 0.25 mg/l and then first add additional fertilizer, after the content in the water has sunk again to zero. If the measured PO4 content in the aquarium water was not detectable for a long period before using Eudrakon P, it is often the case that a great increase in consumption is noticeable in the first 7 - 14 days of use. This is normal and due on the one hand to the fact that all plants refill their empty storage for phosphate and on the other that phosphate is immobilized due to adsorption of iron hydroxide precipitations in the filter and substrate.
CompositionContains Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4). The solution reacts slightly acidic and buffers in the area of ~ pH 4.4 (however in very weak aquarium water almost no effect can be expected in influencing the pH value by these limited dosage amounts).
