Ingredients of Eudrakon N
This fertilizer consists of 3 components ensuring a multilayer nitrogen supply:
- Nitrate
- Urea resp. Carbamide
- Ammonium
Ammonium is absorbed instantly and mainly by water plants, but on the other hand, it can not be stored. Due to energetic reasons, it is slightly easier to absorp ammonium than nitrate. But higher nitrate concentrations diminish the ammonium absorption (from approx. 5 mg/l nitrate).
Excess ammonium is quickly oxidized by oxygen consumption into nitrate by nitrifying bacteria. Therefore the fertilizer has a relatively low amount which also helps to avoid toxic ammonia when the pH-value rises above 7.5.
Here, the second content, urea is able to resolve the problem. Urea, a nitrogenous end product of the nitrate metabolism of many animals, can be directly absorbed by plants on the one hand or also hydrolyzed by the bacteria in the tank into ammonium and CO₂.
Nitrates are non-poisonous for animals with all common pH-values and therefore also used as a “storage” here.
Some plants may react with disturbances of growth when a nitrate-rate of 10 mg/l occurs. Therefore, this rate does not need to and should not be exceeded.
A part of the nitrate is added in form of its potassium and magnesium salts, as not only potassium, but also magnesium is consumed in quantity in pools that use a lot of nitrogen.
Dosage
Daily max. 1 ml per 50 l tank water until the requested nitrate concentration is reached.
The optimal concentration is about 3 - 8 mg/l nitrate. Any more is not necessary and only supports the growth of algae.
When no absorption takes place by the plants and there is a complete mineralization, a dosage of 1 ml to 50 l water corresponds to a direct dosage of 2 mg/l nitrate, 0.4 mg/l potassium and 0.1 mg/l magnesium.

6.8 % nitrate, 2.02 % potassium, 1,0 % urea, 0.48 % magnesium, 0.34 % ammonium, methyl paraben, EDTA

Hatte ebenfalls keinen Nitratw...
Hatte ebenfalls keinen Nitratwert aus dem Becken messen können da einfach keins messbar war. Hatte aber typische Mangelerscheiungen an den Pflanzen. Dank der N Lösung konnte ich die leichtes beheben und habe wie in der Anleitung beschrieben max. 1ml auf 50 Liter hinzugeben. Algen hatte damit keine Chance und Pflanzen konnten den Dünger aufsaugen/speichern ohne unerwünsche Nebenwirkungen (Algen).

Da mein Nitratgehalt (weniger ...
Da mein Nitratgehalt (weniger 2mg/l) sehr niedrig ist, (Süßwasser) muss ich meine Pflanzen mit N nachdüngen. Das gelingt mir mit DRAK Eudrakon N sehr gut und ich kann gezielt den erwünschten Wert von z.b 5-8mg/l einstellen. Wichtig ist auch den Phosphat Anteil im Auge zu haben. (Redfield Ratio) wegen Algenbildung....
